Course Description
This applied math class is designed to provide students with the fundamentals of personal finance, budgeting, and investments. Students will learn how to develop spreadsheets for budget tracking, investment analysis, planning, and debt resolution. Students will participate in an investment club in which they to learn the skill of stock investing, selecting one or more stocks to buy, hold or sell to develop a personal understanding of wealth building strategies.
Students who take/complete this course
- Earn a quarter credit in Business/CTE Credit
- Receive $100 to invests in various stocks and bonds
- Receive a personal library of ‘how to” financial books
- Receive a YCCS Certificate of Completion
