YCLA helped me to stay focused at a time when I had a lot of problems on my shoulders.
They offered a support system that gave me confidence. It was my last chance to have a diploma… My son is seven now, in the second grade. I can show him that I did it, and he can do that and more!
They were very friendly, supportive and I liked the non-traditional vibe.
Basically, I left Collins [High School] because we were out of the district, and no school would accept me because it was so late in the year. I learned about Sullivan House from a friend and that was all she wrote. I knew it was the place for me!
This isn’t our first try since all of us are on our second or third try.
But every one us was determined to graduate, and we did because we believed in ourselves and did not give up.
I owe a huge part of my success to Truman Middle College!
At 22 years old, I am the youngest in my department in one of the largest Fortune 500 companies in the world.
