But every one us was determined to graduate, and we did because we believed in ourselves and did not give up.

YCLA helped me to stay focused at a time when I had a lot of problems on my shoulders.
They offered a support system that gave me confidence. It was my last chance to have a diploma… My son is seven now, in the second grade. I can show him that I did it, and he can do that and more!

They were very friendly, supportive and I liked the non-traditional vibe.
Basically, I left Collins [High School] because we were out of the district, and no school would accept me because it was so late in the year. I learned about Sullivan House from a friend and that was all she wrote. I knew it was the place for me!
