Meditation and Mindfulness

This course provides a safe, productive space for you to engage in self-care strategies, learn stress relieving practices, and engage in meditation/mindful activities. You will leave this class with a tool set of mindful practices, meditation and self care techniques to help you overcome the obstacles that you face daily, especially during this Coronavirus Pandemic.

Course Description

The course guides students through a series of self-reflective work, meditation, breathwork, yoga, and self-care lessons. Students can use this time as a safe space for open conversation. This course will help students identify the current issues that affect them personally, their communities, as well as, what they can do to help ease the emotional impact of these issues while still being a part of the necessary change.

Students who take/complete this course:

  • Earn a quarter credit in Science
  • Receive a mediation and mindfulness kit for use at home
  • Receive an industry certification in meditation
  • Receive a YCCS Certificate of Completion
